Our Highland Antlers are from both Red & Fallow Deer from naturally shed deer antler stock. Deer shed their antler in February / March time, and the antlers are gathered by hand over the weeks to follow. The antlers grow back throughout the rest of the year, making this a very sustainable process by which no deer are harmed. We believe that this makes them one of the most environmentally friendly dog chews in the world. The antler has simply been cleaned (with no chemicals) and cut to various sizes/weights for dogs to chew on. Sharp points have been removed to make them safe.
