Algae oil is the vegan alternative with a high omega-3 concentration. Algae can synthesise large amounts of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). They are the natural food source from which fish obtain these fatty acids. We shorten the extraction process and produce our omega-3 rich oil directly from sustainable algae cultures.
The effect of omega-3 fatty acids for animals has already been proven by numerous scientific studies. A highly concentrated supply of EPA supports the metabolism and immune system of animals. Skin and coat health is also strengthened.
We source our AniForte® algae oil from environmentally sustainable and socially responsible algae production to contribute to the health of the world's oceans. The high-quality oil is produced through a particularly environmentally friendly process. The microalgae are fermented using dextrose so that they multiply exponentially and convert the dextrose into qualitative omega-3 fatty acids. No unnecessary waste is produced during the production process, because the leftovers can be used for energy production in biogas plants, among other things. This creates a holistically sustainable system.
The technological additive in our Algae Oil is vitamin E from pure sunflower oil, used purely for preservation.
Dogs per 10 kg: 20 drops daily
Cats: 10 drops daily
Horses per 100 kg: 30 drops daily
Our AniForte® Algae Oil is suitable for dogs, cats, and horses of all sizes.
Note: Please shake well before use. A slight sedimentation at the bottom of the bottle is a quality feature of the natural product. The bottle top has a dropper, which allows for exact dosage of single drops.

AniForte Algae Oil is a 100% plant-based omega-3 supplement derived from marine algae (Schizochytrium sp.). It provides highly concentrated EPA and DHA fatty acids — the same omega-3s found in fish oil — but without any fish. It is the natural vegan alternative for dogs, cats and horses, particularly those with fish allergies or intolerances.
Algae oil is where fish get their omega-3s from in the first place — by eating algae. Algae oil therefore provides omega-3s at the source, with no fishy smell or taste and no risk of fish allergy reactions. It is also more sustainable, produced through a controlled fermentation process rather than wild fish catch.
The bottle has a built-in dropper for precise dosing. Add the drops directly to your pet's food once daily. The recommended dose is 20 drops per 10kg for dogs, 10 drops daily for cats, and 30 drops per 100kg for horses. Shake well before use.
Yes — this is one of the key benefits of algae oil. It provides the same essential omega-3 fatty acids as fish oil but is entirely fish-free, making it the ideal choice for pets who are allergic or intolerant to fish-based products.
TOTOX (total oxidation value) measures the freshness and quality of an oil. A TOTOX value of 4 is exceptionally low — indicating very high freshness and minimal oxidation. Lower TOTOX means better quality and more potent omega-3s that haven't degraded. Most fish oils have significantly higher TOTOX values.
Yes — however for most pets one omega-3 source is sufficient. Algae oil is typically chosen as a direct alternative to salmon oil rather than an addition to it. If you are already using salmon oil and want to switch, algae oil provides a comparable omega-3 profile.
Shake well before each use. A slight sedimentation at the bottom of the bottle is normal and a sign of a natural product. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
