The exceptionally high calcium content can have a positive effect on bone metabolism and bone density - cell growth in the bones can be strengthened.
Calcium deficiency can have a long-term negative effect on the bone and dental health of dogs and cats. In particular, puppies, growing animals, and pregnant females need a diet higher in calcium. Here, an eggshell supplement can optimise the nutrient content.
Eggshell Powder is particularly suitable for the regular supply of natural calcium to your pet. Especially for animals that do not tolerate eating bones, it is ideal to compensate for the high phosphorus content of the meat.

Dogs per 10 kg: 1.5 g daily
Cats per 4 kg: 0.3 g daily
(For 100 g: 1 scoop equals 1 g; For 250 g: 1 scoop equals 3 g)
The powder can be easily mixed with the raw food ration.
If you also feed your dog bones, it is recommended to reduce the amount of AniForte® Ground Eggshells.

AniForte Eggshell Powder is made from 100% pure ground eggshells and contains 37.1% natural calcium. Calcium is essential for strong bones, teeth, muscle function and nerve transmission. Raw-fed dogs in particular need a reliable calcium source to balance the phosphorus in meat — eggshell powder is one of the most natural and bioavailable ways to provide it.
The recommended dose is 1.5g per 10kg of body weight daily for dogs. For cats, give 0.3g per 4kg daily. Note that the scoop sizes differ between pack sizes: 1 scoop equals 1g in the 100g pack and 3g in the 250g pack. If you also feed raw bones, reduce the amount of eggshell powder accordingly to avoid over-supplementing calcium.
Both are valid natural calcium sources. Eggshell powder offers more precise dosing and is easier to mix into food, making it particularly useful for dogs who cannot eat bones safely, or for owners who want consistent daily calcium levels without relying on bone availability. If you feed both, reduce the eggshell powder dose to compensate.
Yes — eggshell powder is suitable for both dogs and cats. For cats, the dose is 0.3g per 4kg of body weight daily. It blends easily into wet food.
Canine Complete and Feline Complete already contain eggshell powder as part of their formulation. If you are using either of these supplements, adding additional eggshell powder separately may result in excess calcium intake. We recommend using one or the other — not both — unless advised otherwise by your vet.
